NORTHBORO – A Leicester man accused of exposing himself to girls at an Otis Street athletic facility last April was found not guilty Friday at his trial in Central District Court in Worcester.
The jury of six found George Matthew Fournier, 38, not guilty after a two-day trial, Worcester district attorney's spokesman Tim Connelly said Monday.
The trial was held in the Worcester court because Westboro District Court does not handle jury trials.
Northboro police arrested Mr. Fournier on April 8 at TeamWorks Northboro on Otis Street.
That day, a group of 11-year-old girls were playing soccer at the indoor athletic facility. Some of the girls told adults there that a man had exposed his penis in front of them.
When Mr. Fournier tried to leave, several of the parents who were there to watch the soccer games detained him until police arrived.
At the time of Mr. Fournier’s arrest, Northboro police said they did not know why he was at the facility.
